The annual Darwin Perennials Day is back and in-person this spring in The Gardens at Ball. On behalf of Ball Seed, I would like to formally invite you to this premier perennial event, which includes a showcase of more than 25 suppliers and breeders covering all your perennial needs in one place.

Registration is now open at www.darwinperennialsday.com >>

At Darwin Perennials Day, Wednesday, June 22, 2022, you’ll get a first-look at new varieties and see how perennials from the world’s best breeders perform in our zone 5 overwinter trials. There will be educational sessions and networking opportunities throughout the day to push perennial programs to the next level for greenhouse growers, nurseries and landscapers, designers and garden retailers.

In my opinion, the hallmarks of this annual perennials event are education and opportunity. You’ll especially want to meet with the expert suppliers featured in the tent showcase where you can learn from the best and form your own comparisons to help you make the most comprehensive decisions for your perennials program. (See the full list of suppliers down below.)

Also included in the full-day itinerary are guided tours of the perennial gardens and the Ball Helix Central Research & Development facility on-campus. There's a keynote presentation by Suzanne Wainwright-Evans of Buglady Consulting titled “Implementing Bio-Control Agents”. She’ll share action-orientated advice on what works well, what to avoid, and what is affordable for the average grower.

The one-day event is open rain or shine Wednesday, June 22, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. A grab-n-go breakfast and midday lunch are included. Registration is free – sign up today online at www.darwinperennialsday.com.
