We have developed an exclusive testing method with a focus on uniformity and vigor in seed germination for professional growers. Uniformity at germinations leads to uniformity at transplanting and that contributes to bench run finishes. This is called the Ball Vigor Index (BVI). It's a numeric scale – the higher the BVI number, the more uniform and vigorous the seed lot. Lots that do not meet our standards for quality, vigor and uniformity are taken out of our inventory. Every seed showing on our inventory has met our standards for professional performance.
